Micro Loc Retie (Retightening) is a precision maintenance service that tightens new growth at the root to keep your microlocs neat, consistent, and healthy as they mature. It’s ideal for maintaining a clean look, preserving your parting pattern, and preventing slipping, tangling, or excessive frizz between appointments. During your appointment, each microloc is carefully retightened using an interlocking technique that secures the new growth without relying on heavy product. Extra care is taken around the hairline and crown to control tension and protect delicate areas, while keeping your microlocs uniform in size and direction. This service focuses on retightening only; styling can be added if you’d like a finished look. Timing and pricing vary based on your microloc count, density, and how much new growth you have, as well as the time since your last retie. For best results, most clients schedule maintenance every 4–8 weeks (your ideal schedule may vary). Please arrive with your hair clean and fully dry (unless you’ve added a wash-and-dry option) and be prepared to share your last retie date so we can keep your microlocs on track.
