Loc Detox is a deep-cleansing service designed to remove buildup, residue, and impurities from your locs so they feel lighter, look brighter, and absorb moisture more effectively. It’s ideal for clients who notice dullness, stiffness, product buildup, or an itchy scalp—and it’s also a great reset before a retwist or style. This detox includes a targeted cleansing process using a lemon juice and baking powder treatment to help break down buildup within the locs, followed by a thorough shampoo cleanse. After detoxing, your locs are conditioned to restore softness and balance, then rinsed and finished with a clean, refreshed feel. Because detoxing pulls out trapped residue, you may visibly see buildup release during the service—this is normal and part of the process. For best results, please arrive with your locs free of heavy oils or fresh waxes, and plan for a complete dry after your service (recommended to prevent moisture from lingering inside the locs). Timing and results can vary depending on loc length, thickness, and the amount of buildup present.
