Crochet Retie is a maintenance service that uses the crochet method to tighten and refine your locs by pulling loose hairs back into the loc and reinforcing the structure—especially at the roots and along the shaft. It’s ideal for clients who want a cleaner, more compact look, have frizz or soft spots, or need targeted reinforcement to help their locs stay strong and uniform. During your appointment, your locs are assessed for new growth, weak areas, and consistency. The crochet technique is then used to secure the root area and smooth the locs as needed, helping reduce unraveling and giving a more “finished” appearance without heavy product. Extra care is taken to control tension and protect the hairline and crown while keeping your locs aligned with your parting pattern. Timing and pricing vary based on loc size, length, density, and how much tightening is needed. For best results, arrive with your hair clean and fully dry (unless you’ve added a wash-and-dry option), and be prepared to share your last maintenance date and any areas you’d like us to focus on (edges, crown, repairs, etc.).
